We are having SAP IDES 6.0 and NW Portal 7.02 in the same Windows 2008 server with MaxDB 7.6. Now we are planning to install Solution Manager 7.1 in the same server.
So we want upgrade MaxDB 7.6 to MaxDB 7.8, for that i have below queries.
1) Is it possible to upgrade from MaxDB 7.6 to 7.8 directly.
2) Upgrade should be done in all instances or any one instance.
3) Is Solution manager 7.1 can be installed with MaxDB 7.8.
We have downloaded the MaxDB 7.8 Software (51042685_10 for Windows) and MaxDB update software (51042685_12 for Windows). As per the standard upgrade document it says to run below command from the MAXDB_UPDATE folder
"DBUPDATE.BAT -s <SAPSID> –d <DBSID> -u <DBM,DBM password> [ -dir <temporary directory> ]"
I have a doubt that the download which i have (51042685_12) is only 240 KB. Whether we need to start upgrade from 51042685_12 software or 51042685_10 (In this DVD also DBUPDATE.BAT is available.
